Day 46 – Butt Mountain

I’m not sure what my maturity level is, but I think the name “Butt Mountain” right before the PCT halfway point is hilarious. It felt like a casual day, despite continual rolling trail through many of the early miles. Sweeping views and vistas of Mt Lassen brought me back from lots of autopilot forested miles. My snacks dwindled all day as it’s the last day of a resupply, and taking my mind away from a hungry last couple miles seemed mandatory. Then the PCT halfway point appeared (meaning I am still not even 20% done with my route) and the rest of he day was all downhill to highway 36. Tomorrow I need to stick in town for a bit to mail back some gear and then hike through Lassen National Park.

Miles hiked: 31
