Two quick hitches and a breakfast sandwich before I was back at Inspiration Point and hiking away from Wrightwood. I was poised for a big day, despite not hiking until 7. The first ascent was Mt. Baden-Powell and I was up it without breathing hard, even taking the short side trail to the true summit. I jogged the downhill and the miles began adding up. It wasn’t especially hot, and I was feeling good. By 1pm I had 20 miles in and 30 by 4. I ended the day hiking into the night a bit to end with 47 miles. My biggest day by far on this trip. With the big day, that means I have about 38 miles to Agua Dulce.
After 47 miles I am exhausted so the post is shorter today.
