A lot has happened since the last time I posted: I have moved to Colorado, attended the Outdoor Retailer show, taken a job, battled through the depression of readjustment, gained back some weight, done over 20 presentations and written over 330 pages of my book. There are lots of cool things in the works!
I am hoping to release my book in the late spring and am currently working through the arduous process of finding a publisher, editing and wrapping up the last few pages.
I do not have many more speaking engagements booked but I am looking to present in some other areas of the country than I have previously been. Thanks to everyone that has come out to the presentations thus far. It has been great meeting everyone and depicting my awesome adventure. To those who would like to see me present, I am trying to get something set up in Colorado as well as some other locations. It is a long, tough process to get something put together so stay tuned. I will be adding an events page to my website when some of these are booked.
The campaign to raise money for Suicide Prevention ended and we eclipsed our goal! We ended with close to $15,000 raised. This is a drop in the bucket compared to the awareness and compassion you all helped me spread!
I am doing the Grand Traverse Ski Race in Colorado from Crested Butte to Aspen, so my athletic and wilderness endeavors are far from over. There will be plenty of mountaineering coming this spring and summer too!
It’s been amazing to meet so many of you, share my story, see your joy and here about your own journeys! We were able to make a small difference in the world and won’t stop there. Thanks for being a part of Freeoutside and stay tuned as there is so much more to do and much more to come!
