Day 46 – Reading Rainbow

And there I stood, just waiting for the Reading railroad to pass so I could pass. It would go down the tracks and then just before I could cross it would reverse across my potential crossing. This was quite the welcome to Port Clinton, PA. I have been sleeping in my tent as opposed to the shelters that are along the trail. I’m not sure of the reason, but I have been getting great sleep nestled in my tent. You may be thinking “isn’t it easier for bears and other animals to get in a tent?” The answer is of course yes but I have never had too much issue with animals other than mountain goats. Another benefit of the tent is I have seemed to avoid the mice thus far. Today was all about more rocks, rock piles and more Pennsylvania and it really wore me out.
