Day 10 – deep freeze

Things I didn’t see today: the sun, people, wildlife, the trail. What I did see was snow and a very thick cloud that hung overhead all day. It was another very cold day. I have 2 dry pairs of socks left so we will see what method I can come up with to stay warmish. The snow I walked through today seemed deeper, heavier and colder. At one point I would sink up to my waist with every step. That said, due to taking no breaks, I was able to push through for 20 grueling miles. I am going to bed a little damp but just do not have the energy to try to change in a temperature hovering at about 0. I think I have about 35 miles of brutal snow left.
